Vote Early and Vote Often...

So this is an essentially meaningless poll, but I've always wanted to do one. The dilemma that I have been pondering is this: lately I have not had nearly the time to devote to blogging that I like. Some of this is just plain busyness, and some of was caused by "reader's block", if there is such a thing. I was having trouble finishing books. You know the drill. I haven't been blog hopping either, one of my favorite pastimes. So I have been wondering whether or not to fold the blog. Gasp! But of course I must waffle, and overthink, and now subject any visitors to it as well. So, out of curiosity, what would you do if you were me?

It's pretty easy to get burned out on blogging. But the nice thing about Google reader and whatever RSS feed reader people use these days, is that you can post sporadically and people will still be able to keep up with you. Even if you only post every couple of weeks. Whatever works for you. You don't want it to become work. :)

Very true Jennie. You know, I really have to get on board with the RSS feed thing. I don't have one, which seems silly. It would help me keep up.

As for Sybil, I know what you think.

I think you need to refocus what you want to do with your blog. It would be a shame to fold it because I enjoy visiting, but throw around some ideas, take sometime and come back all sparky new.

I like your posts so I (selfishly) don't want you to stop. I would normally say that if you feel blogging alone is too much, why not join up with others - but I know you're already doing that at TGTBATU and at Access Romance. You need to decide whether you get the platform you want at the other blogs you contribute to or if you still need your 'own place'.

Thanks katiebabs. I'm leaning towards taking a break.

Tumperkin--Thanks for the kind words. That's the crux of the issue. I would continue at the other two sites, but would I be able to do things "my way" enough at them? Do I need my own spot to natter on about whatever strikes my fancy?

I like reading your book reviews, esp. since we seem to have similar taste in books. But if you feel worn out with blogging, then like others have suggested, maybe a break would help you decide if you'd like to continue or if you'd like to do something new. :-)

Hey DC!! Good to see ya. I haven't seen you around lately, not that I've been blog hopping that much. (Boo) Hope all is well. Thanks for the advice.
