I guess paranormal romantic comedy is calling to me these days.

SciFiChick--I think the thing that gets me most is Bill. He just doesn't look at all how I pictured him. But I must tell you that I love the original covers for these books. I like the folk-art thing.

Zeek--Dead in Dixie is the first three volumes of the Sookie Stackhouse books. I haven't read any of them. Strangely for me I started with the fourth. I've really enjoyed 4-6, and I look forward to catching up. They're definitely worth a try.Devonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12526459179535104279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15898979.post-1160532251467309242006-10-10T21:04:00.000-05:002006-10-10T21:04:00.000-05:00I have Dead in Dixie in my collection too and yeah...I have Dead in Dixie in my collection too and yeah, the cover's a little weird...kind of Buffy-ish. If you're looking for a good paranormal, though, try: Patricia Brigg's Moon Called. That was really good.

And yup Zeek! Harris writes the Sookie Stackhouse books. :-)dancechicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10890938063309059435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15898979.post-1160508667419333292006-10-10T14:31:00.000-05:002006-10-10T14:31:00.000-05:00Sarah's Child I didn't like so much. I thought it okay ~ but thankfully I've read more of hers that I just love.

I can't resist our Friends of Library shelves either ~ I usually end up picking up a few things there everytime I visit.Devhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10719293114461054932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15898979.post-1160488089028897512006-10-10T08:48:00.000-05:002006-10-10T08:48:00.000-05:00I bought this novella from SFBC. So now I have the 2 novellas from SFBC a the latest, Definitely Dead.
Yes, her outfit is dumb on the cover of the first novella, but I much prefer the realistic look to the actual covers of her books.. looks like a 5 year old drew them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15898979.post-1160461351850862662006-10-10T01:22:00.000-05:002006-10-10T01:22:00.000-05:00I liked that brockman... read it on my recent bing...I liked that brockman... read it on my recent binge.

It goes on a touch long with the ::but I want an average guy:: whining. But over all I liked it.

Really liked Letter to Kelly but that wasn't a seal book. I think, so far, the last two in the Team Ten series are the ones I like the most.

Heart Throb was grand as well, but again... not a SEAL book.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
