Read in 2007

Interesting to no one but me...

I'm going to be making some changes on the blog tomorrow, and I'll be getting rid of my "Read in 2007" list on the sidebar. So for posterity, I'm going to paste it here. I'm having a quiet New Year's Eve. It's 11:00pm and everyone else is asleep. I literally just finished my last book of 2007, and it was great. I'll be reviewing Deep Magic by Joy Nash at TGTBTU. Quite a list, and some intriguing titles I've never heard of. If my tbr pile weren't so out of control, I might look into some of them.

Happy New Year Devon.

Thanks Stacy, Happy New Year to you too.

Pssst... Devon. FYI: your linkie color is so light I can barely read it. The light blue links are barely dark enough to see, but the light purple for previously read linkies is almost impossible to see against the light blue background.

Course, maybe that's just my laptop's quirks.

But otherwise the overall new look is very pretty and serene.

Oh, and I keep forgetting to ask you--- how are you doing your cuts/jumps?? I can't figure out how to do them.

You are correct, Bev. Originially, everything was black which bugged me b/c you couldn't distinguish the links at all. But when I played around, everything was too light! I haven't had time to get back to it.

I'm not loving it as much as I did in theory. But it was so effin' annoying to change (I can't figure out how to do it without losing my widgets), so I'm sticking with it for awhile.

as for the cuts, these are the instructions I used:

Then it's a matter of cutting and pasting until I get the right combo (I can never find the "style" tags they mention). Let me know if I can help, though I usually just bumble around until it works:)

Isn't it amazing how involved a blog template change can be? But I like this one, in spite of the link thing.
Hey, I want to thank you for visiting my site. I've been reading yours for a very long time, even though I rarely if ever commented, so it was sort of like a celebrity visit.

Hey, also, thanks for the someeCards thing. That is hilarious.

I admire your energy in changing your site!

I still haven't updated to the new Blogger layout yet (I'm still on the old template style) because I love my Caz template so much. But it does create a few glitches...

Hi Kate! There are things that are easy and nifty about the new blogger, but I found changing things to be easier in the old template style. Given my limited coding skills, I found it easier to find stuff when I wanted to add or change.
